Old world inspired, surpassing new world standards. This philosophy behind our wines traces back to our founder, Catharine Niven. Today, that vision continues with the second and third generations, along with our winemaker, Christian Roguenant. In 1909 the Edna Valley farming community built the Independence Schoolhouse to serve this rural area. After the school closed it served as a residence. In 1998, the Niven family undertook the school's restoration and later opened this historic building as the new home of Baileyana wines. The tasting room offers gourmet food, fine gifts and a picnic area has croquet or bocce ball.
